Whatever the size, complexity or budget of your project, my extensive project management
experience leaves me well-placed to help you get up and running.
Here are just a few of the projects I’ve worked on.
For a new factory build at a quayside facility in Hartlepool, I project managed the implementation of
a new cable manufacturing plant with a budget of £13 million – bringing it in on time and on budget.
I selected and appointed all suppliers plus the internal staff and subcontractors, and was responsible
for overseeing the concept, commissioning, design, build and installation of the new plant, as well as
writing regular progress reports to the management. The systems I installed resulted in the company
winning the contract to undertake two of the largest wind farm projects in the world at that time.
I was involved in the design, commissioning and production of a new £1.3 million factory project in
Asia, ensuring all stages were completed on time and on budget. As a result, the company’s load-out
capability tripled, with turnover increasing by 100% in the first six months and an additional 50% in
the following 12 months. As this project had a very challenging timescale for completion, I spent
considerable time on site managing employees and contractors to ensure a successful outcome.
I have also project managed everything from individual machinery upgrade projects to full system
replacements, with budgets ranging from a few thousand pounds up to several hundred thousands
of pounds. My roles have included holding technical discussions with relevant parties through to
producing technical specifications, commercial reviews of tenders and the placing of purchase
orders. When required, I’ve seen many of these projects through to completion, which has involved
overseeing production and inspection of items, factory acceptance testing, commissioning and
installation of plant, shipping of items, system trialling, final documentation production, operator
training and final sign-off.
